Education Objective
Our objective is to offer training to prepare the student with all the basic skills needed to secure future employment. Upon completion of the course of study the graduate student will receive a diploma and will be qualified to take the certification exam which will enable them to become license in California and work in the areas such as: Hair Stylist, hair colorist, manicurist, Make-up Artist. Facialist, Massage Therapist, Holistic Practitioner, Beauty Salon Operator, Barber. Normal progression should move him/her to positions such as Beauty Salon manager, owner, Cosmetology Teacher, Supervisor, Director or School Owner. We continually survey the profession to keep abreast of current trends, designs and techniques. Teachers give “individual” as well as classroom instruction.

YES, THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF COSMETOLOGY IS A PRIVATE INSTITUTION APPROVED TO OPERATE BY THE BUREAU FOR PRIVATE POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION. APPROVAL TO OPERATE MEANS THE INSTITUTION IS COMPLIANT WITH STATE STANDARDS AS SET FORTH IN THE CEC AND 5, CCR. THE BUREAU’S APPROVAL MEANS THAT THE INSTITUION AND ITS OPERATION COMPLY WITH THE MINIMUM STANDARDS, DOES NOT IMPLY ANY ENDORSEMENT OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE BUREAU.
THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF COSMETOLOGY IS A STATE OF CALIFORNIA BOARD APPROVED SCHOOL OF COSMETOLOGY TO TEACH THE COURSES IN MANICURING, ESTHETICS, COSMETOLOGY, BARBERING AND TEACHER’S TRAINING. Yes, we offer a student academic achievement award for cosmetology and barber programs only. WIA, a third party agency which funds may be available to you when you meet their requirements.
We offer monthly installments payable for the duration of your contract.
Yes, the State board approved the issuance of the license in January 1st, 2015 to those student graduates with the ITN card and a governmental identification, such a driver’s license.
Yes, we offer classes in Spanish, textbooks and the State exam is offered in Spanish.
Yes, our placement representative will set interviews with your prospect employer, however we do not guarantee employment, it is up to you to obtain it.
